Byker Primary School is a welcoming, friendly school set inside the Byker wall, in the East end of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Children from a range of different cultures and backgrounds are encouraged to do their best and aim high. The school strives to provide a varied and creative approach to learning, where children learn to express themselves and have fun!

We pride ourselves on the caring ethos that is embedded within our school. Please have a look around our website, if you would like any further information, or would like to visit us as a prospective parent, please telephone on (0191) 265 6906.

Welcome to our School Website

Michelle Donnison - Deputy Headteacher

This website has been created to help you get a 'real flavour’ of what school life at Byker primary is all about.

We showcase all of the extracurricular activities our pupils get up to inside and outside of school, in our monthly newsletters, blog site, and via our Twitter feed, you can find links to these on our homepage.

Our amazing school library is available online with a wide variety of resources including e-books for all ages to read at home.

As well as keeping our website up to date, we continue to ensure parents are informed of upcoming events and important information via parent mail.  If you are not already signed up to this, then please ask our school office staff to support you.

With the rapidly changing developments in technology and social media, we have lots of interesting information for parents and pupils to stay safe at home and online under our E-Safety heading, please ensure you take a look.

If you have any suggestions or things that you would like to see added to our website, please contact me (Mrs Donnison) on 0191 2656906
