Week 2 - 18th - 22nd July
Happy Summer Holidays Year 5!!!
It has been a real pleasure getting to know you over the last two weeks and we are all really looking forward to working with you in Year 5 next year!
We have been planning our summer holidays this week and creating some fantastic and very persuasive brochures about different cities we would like to visit.
In maths, we have been finding factor ninjas and multiple monsters with all sorts of numbers. Can you remember what a prime number is?
In our afternoons, we have been doing some wonderful, creative things. We acted as a government and set up different committees as well as learning to weave bracelets from wool.
It's been a great week.
See you in September!
Week 1 - 11th-15th July
This week we have all been getting to know each other in 5.14!
In English we have been talking about our favourite books and writing similes to describe ourselves - someone said they had a brain as big as a school of 635 pupils!
In Maths we've been practicing place value and using clever clues to work out what operation is needed to solve the word problems.
We've also been doing some gorgeous artwork about ourselves, with handprints and thought bubbles and on Monday we had a visit from some important people who taught us some fantastic basketball skills!
All in all a super first week - here's to many more!
