This week we have had lots of fun in gardening club after school. We dug up the lettuce and thinned out the carrots too.
Everyone got to take home their class text Stellaluna. Remmeber to check out all the great bat facts at the back of the book!
Finally in preparation of celebrating the Queen's Jubilee we had some of our own celebrations. We made crowns, flags and wrote about what we would do if we were King or Queen for the day.
Have a super holiday and we will see you back on Tuesday 7th June 2022.

This week in our geography topic Our Local Area we learned about sketching maps and drawing a key. Take a look at the ones below and see if there is anywhere you recognise. I'm sure you agree we have some very skilled sketch artists of the future!

We have had a wonderful week learning more about our class text. We have also been developing our maths skills by measuring different objects around the classroom as well as problem solving about measurement. We have enjoyed measuring how far we could run in a set time although it wasn't as far as Usane Bolt!
Welcome back Year2!
We hope you had a great Easter Holiday.
Our new class text this half term is shown below with some of the key objectives we will be covering.
We have also started a new unit of Art work where we will be studying the work of Vincent Van Gough. Look at the amazing shades of blue we created- we even created names for some of them.
Finally, just a reminder that our P.E. day is Tuesday and children can bring trainers or come in trainers for their sport session.
