At Byker Primary School, our PSHE curriculum is thoughtfully designed to empower our students with essential life skills and values that align with our curriculum drivers: confidence, creativity, challenge, and community. We base our curriculum on the framework provided by the Kapow Scheme of work, ensuring a comprehensive and effective learning journey for our students.

We use class floor books to demonstrate the learning and capture the voice of our pupils.

  To enhance pupils' emotional and relational approaches throughout school, we use whole-class Thrive.  This allows the opportunity for whole class and small group relational play opportunities and supports children with their emotional health, well-being and social skills, all of which are needed to enable learning to take place.
