Byker Primary School

Resources for parents

Good Morning to all the Parents and Carers of Byker Primary,

We are moving lots of content to our new COVID 19 Tab which can be found under the home page Parents tab.  All updates and key information, including new policies that are linked to COVID 19 can now be found in this new tab.

This area is now for new resources only so should be easier to navigate.

Please remember that whilst education is important in the home, breaks, fresh air exercise to stay healthy, and mental health is far more important.  Take on a little each day and try not to worry.  We are all here to help you and if you are worried or concerned you can send us questions at:questions@bykerprimary.co.uk

Take care of yourselves and your family and thank you for all of the continued support we have received from yourselves and the Byker Primary Community.

Kindest Regards

Mrs Donnison

New book list with video links to each story 24.6.20

Please click on the PDF below which will take you to a book list with a video link for each story. These stories are aimed at children in Early Years and Year 1 however, we are excited to share them with children across our school. We hope they provide some inspiration for story time at home also.

The NSPCC’s Virtual Speak out Stay safe assembly

Over the years, the NSPCC’s Speak out Stay safe assemblies have taken place in more than 90% of all primary schools across the UK, giving children the knowledge they need to stay safe from harm and to speak out if they're worried. Whilst the NSPCC are not able to run these assemblies as normal right now, they have organised a very exciting virtual Speak out Stay safe assembly for this Friday, alongside some VERY special guests, including Ant and Dec, and David Walliams.

The NSPCC are encouraging as many children as possible to watch this.  The assembly is being held at 9.30am on Friday 5 June, which you can log into through the NSPCC’s Facebook page
