They looked at a range of Viking artefacts and what their proper use was before designing their own Viking. They then thought about how Vikings would have used exaggerated language such as boasting, to create a short story about their Viking. After break they created their own dragons and riddles to figure out what it was! 

A huge thank you to Adam Bushnell from Byker Primary school. This has been such an experience for our children bringing words to life.

The children used knitted poppies that were made by residents at the local nursing home to create large displays that they will get to take along and share with all at the remembrance service next week.

On Friday 13th November, Byker Primary School will be supporting BBC Children in Need!

Children are invited to come to school wearing yellow, spots or Pudsey ears in exchange for a £1 donation to this wonderful charity.

Participation is completely optional, and children who do not wish to take part can attend school in their normal school uniform.

Important reminder: For health and safety reasons, please ensure children do not wear Crocs, high heels, large jewellery or hooped earrings.

We look forward to seeing lots of yellow, spots and Pudsey ears across school!

Each half term the class with the highest attendance will win a prize and celebration reward.

From Dentaid they have shared that they: We provide fillings, extractions, oral cancer checks, oral health instruction and scale and polish treatments. We are also able to prescribe antibiotics for infections and pain relief.We are unable to provide orthodontics (including braces, retainers and clear aligners), implants,dentures or root canals as our focus is on urgent, pain-relieving care and promoting good oral health.If a patient requires more advanced treatment or general anaesthetic a referral will be made to the nearest hospital.

The draw has been pulled and 2 parents have been selected to collect their £40 Amazon voucher tomorrow. We will be calling them today.
