Autumn 1

WB: 26th September 2022

Wow we have had another fun filled week in Pre-School.
On Monday the children travelled around the world as we looked at different European countries. They squeezed themselves into different spaces using cardboard boxes, baskets and flexi tubs as we made our way to Spain in our aeroplanes. The weather was very hot when we arrived, we had to change into our shorts and t-shirts and some of the children even put on their sunglasses and sandals! We made sandcastles in the sand tray and explored the texture of the sand with our feet.
At the creative table the children used many different materials to design their own flags.

During snack time we tried a variety of different foods, oranges, breadsticks and croissants, the children seemed to really enjoy the taste of the juicy oranges.

We have been exploring books and sharing many stories together this week, some of the children have found their own space to enjoy a quiet story (under the table has been a popular choice).

Now Autumn has arrived we would like to ask if you are out and about this weekend could you look out for some conkers, sticks & colourful leaves or anything else you may find relating to Autumn. Please bring them into pre-school for our Autumn tuff tray, we look forward to seeing what you find.

We hope you have a lovely weekend.

WB: Monday 19th September 2022

This has been a short week as on Monday the 19th of September our school was closed as we joined together as a nation to celebrate the life of Our Majesty the Queen.

On Tuesday morning the children started the day with our 'hello' song a routine they are becoming more familiar with. During role play in the home corner, the children have been matching items of fruit and vegetables using their shopping lists.

Outdoor play: We have been working together building with the large foam bricks, we created a very tall tower, which the children took great pleasure pushing over. Angela marked out a road track using chalk. The children took turns to drive their cars around the track.

Another fun filled week in Pre-School.

We're looking forward to next week when we travel around the world, stopping in Spain!

Get ready to be greeted into Pre-School on Monday morning in Spanish 'Hola'.

WB: Monday 5th September

We would like to give you a big warm welcome to Preschool.

We are so proud of how well our children are settling into school. This week we have had fun exploring our outdoor area even the rain hasn't stopped us having fun!

We have been getting to know each other and our teachers with a smile on our face. We look forward to welcoming you back for a fun filled week next week.

W.B Monday 12th September

We have had a lovely week getting to know each other in Pre-School this week.  We've been learning our 'hello' & 'goodbye' song which we have all been singing together. This is a great way to start and end our day.

The children have enjoyed a range of different activities, exploring cardboard boxes and transforming them into stables for our farm animals and a garage for the cars.

We've made our own play-dough following a recipe, the children each took it in turns to add different ingredients.

Mr Danquah our P.E Teacher visited Pre-School to meet our lovely children he brought with him some equipment; balance boards, football and a bubble machine the children had so much fun popping the bubbles outdoors.
