For your Maths task today we are focusing on multiples and factors.
- For example: Multiples of 9 = the numbers in the 9 times table (9, 18, 27 etc.).
- FACTORS usually come in pairs. So, for factors of 20, I need to think about which times tables have the number 20 in (1 and 20, 2 and 10, 4 and 5).
- When you are asked for common factors of two numbers, remember those are the factors which are in BOTH times tables - You could write a factor lists for each number and circle the numbers which appear in both!
If a question says 'lowest common factor,' you just need to find the smallest common number in both lists.
Please spend no more than 45 minutes on this task. Good luck!
Here we have your first English task of the week! Willy Wonka's Chocolate Room! Find out what your task is below!
