Good morning Year 4 and a huge welcome to another week of online learning. We hope you have managed to get outside and do some exercise over the weekend. When I was lucky enough to walk into school last week, I noticed so many rainbows in your windows. They looked fantastic and I just know that they will be making people smile as they walk past. They certainly made me smile.
We really hope that you are happy and enjoying your time at home, even though it is very different to what we are used to. We do miss you, but know you are doing amazing job, not just doing our work if you can, but being kind and helpful to those who you live with.
Here are today's activities. You know what we are going to say now, don't you?! Only do what you can. If you are finding a task difficult, go and do something else for ten minutes or so. If you still don't understand, just leave it. You could always do extra reading or some times tables activities instead.
1. Reading from a magazine, book or an online book from Purple Mash. (10 minutes)
2. Mental Maths. Remember there are two to choose from Mental Maths 2 is slightly more challenging. (20-25 minutes)
3. RIC activity. Watch a new clip (it's a lovely story in the form of a poem) and answer the questions. (15 minutes)
4. Writing activity. Add in some missing commas to some sentences (20 minutes)
Have fun, stay safe and be kind.
Ms Jarvis, Mr Goldsborough and Mrs Barnes
