It's FANTASTIC Friday today and also the last day of Half Term. We can't believe it. We are all really missing seeing your happy little faces everyday at school and we can't wait to be reunited again and hear about all the wonderful things you have been up to at home.

 

We know it can get very frustrating being stuck inside all day and we are so proud of you for helping to try and make our world safe again. If you are feeling a little frustrated, worried, sad or maybe angry sometimes, why not try some of these calming activities with your grown up:

  • Take one deep breath and pay close attention to how it feels, did it make your tummy move?
  • Imagine you're an ice lolly on a hot day. Can you melt down slowly into a puddle on the floor?
  • Imagine that you are blowing out the biggest candle ever. Can you take a big deep breath and carefully blow the candle out?
  • Can you think of something that makes you happy? What is it?
  • Maybe you could make a 'Happy Jar' and write down or draw  things that make you happy and pop it inside the jar. Anytime that you're feeling a little sad, you could revisit your jar and try one of your happy activities.
  • Pretend that you're a real superhero, can you stand tall and proud like one? 

 

You might have some of your own ideas and that is great too. Whatever helps to keep you smiling through these very strange times. You could also check out the new star 'SEND Advice and Resources' on our class page as you can find some more ideas on there too.
