HAPPY FRIDAY BOYS AND GIRLS!!!!!! Today is also a bank holiday which means it is going to be slightly different to normal... (queue the screams) THERE IS NO MATHS AND ENGLISH ACTIVITIES!!!!!!!

Today marks an extremely important day in History. It is VE day. VE day is 'Victory in Europe' and today marks the 75th Anniversary from when the war ended. It is a day that should be celebrated so i thought that is exactly what we would do. Up and down the country, there are social distancing street parties planned (including my street so i am looking forward to that!) do you have plans on how to celebrate it?

I have attached a slideshow filled with information all about VE day as well as useful link below to a video explaining why we celebrate it, how it is celebrated and what VE day really represents.

I have also included a creative activity for you if you wish to complete it.

Boys and girls, I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with fun, happiness and love! Continue to stay safe and I will be back on Monday with some more exciting activities.

As always Reception, keep smiling!

Good morning Reception!

Today, Miss Bell has uploaded lots of exciting activities for you to access (see below).

These are to celebrate a very special day in our history.  On this day 75 years ago, Winston Churchill, our Prime Minister at the time, announced to the UK that World War II was over.   Each year on the anniversary of this great victory we celebrate VE (Victory in Europe) Day, so please enjoy these activities.  Thank you Miss Bell, we really appreciate you doing this for all of Reception.

Ian, Miss Holden, Miss Davidson and myself have left you a little message at the bottom of the page.  We hope you like it.  Have a great weekend everyone!

We would also like to thank all the parents and carers for all of your support during this difficult time, and are giving you a really big yes.  Home schooling is not easy, especially for younger children.  They need so much support and cannot do the task we set without some level of help and guidance.  Believe me, I've ran into many difficulties.  It has definitely not been plain sailing in my house!  We really do appreciate all of the effort and hard work you have put in.
